I've read one book from the catholic bible today, i thought it would be meaningful to share about it! And Rembrandt actually painted a scene from the book!

Rembrandt: Tobit, Anna and the Kid (1626)
This Painting by Rembrandt, decipts a scene from the book of Tobit found in the catholic bible, a story from the Apocrypha which literally means 'hidden'. The Apocrypha contains books that form part of the Jewish and Christian tradition but are only included among the canon of the Holy Scriptures by the Catholic Church.

The fictional story is about a man named Tobit who was put to the test when he became bankrupt and blind after doing a good deed. God answered their prayers and sends an angel named Raphael to earth to save Tobit and his family. And the story goes on about how Tobit's son, Tobias married a women Sarah after he successfully chased a demon which caused the death of all her 7 husbands after they got married to her.

I think the book's theme is basically forgiveness and how God will aid and reward the faithful who suffered and plus, Raphael the angel disguised as Torbit's relative to help them was really interesting to note as the Christian bible hardly speaks much of angels other than probably Gabriel.
