yesterday (sunday) me and josh went prawning at lower pierce reservoir... tired! prawning needs lots and lots of patience!!! and guess what we caught ( ok, it was josh who caught it... i was too scared...!)...
its either a giant prawn, or a lobster! whoooooo. and it was super huge, super scared when i saw it... it looked more like a scorpion to me! ultra long feelers too. some of the kids came over to look at our catch haa they were shocked too. gee and one of the small prawn aka lobster died today coz it got bullied by the big one in the fish tank. sad case. shouldn't have put them together! there's a small one hiding behind the pump guess it is used to hiding under large rocks??

I've read one book from the catholic bible today, i thought it would be meaningful to share about it! And Rembrandt actually painted a scene from the book!

Rembrandt: Tobit, Anna and the Kid (1626)
This Painting by Rembrandt, decipts a scene from the book of Tobit found in the catholic bible, a story from the Apocrypha which literally means 'hidden'. The Apocrypha contains books that form part of the Jewish and Christian tradition but are only included among the canon of the Holy Scriptures by the Catholic Church.

The fictional story is about a man named Tobit who was put to the test when he became bankrupt and blind after doing a good deed. God answered their prayers and sends an angel named Raphael to earth to save Tobit and his family. And the story goes on about how Tobit's son, Tobias married a women Sarah after he successfully chased a demon which caused the death of all her 7 husbands after they got married to her.

I think the book's theme is basically forgiveness and how God will aid and reward the faithful who suffered and plus, Raphael the angel disguised as Torbit's relative to help them was really interesting to note as the Christian bible hardly speaks much of angels other than probably Gabriel.

30.

Recently my sunday sch teacher gave us an exercise, that is, to pray for 30 mins everyday. that probably sounded really easy. it's only 30 mins of your life. When i tried it the first day, it was shocking. I prayed as long as i could and it only lasted through 5mins! I found myself looking at my watch in despair. this cant be it. I ran out of things to say to my Lord. Then i realised that i was so weak in my prayer life! Focusing 30 mins just seemed tough.

James Long wrote in "Why is God silent" that prayer is companionship.

"..some of the most sublime moments of companionship are moments shared in silence. Perhaps it can be the same with God. Perhaps an even deeper level of communication begins when we quit talking. Then, there is the silence, we both became articulate."

Christ himself prayed all night, but does that mean he spoke to God all night? non-stop? Maybe prayer didnt really have to be spoken out.
